LANDGUARD CONSERVATION TRUST
LEGACY INFORMATION
A gift in your Will helps to undertake scientific research in order to monitor wildlife at
Landguard into the future. Every legacy, however small, assists Landguard Bird
Observatory and its aims.
Types of Legacy:
Residuary – a set % of your estate after other bequests are made & debts paid. This form of legacy is not reduced by inflation.
Pecuniary – a fixed sum of money or possessions.
Specific – a gift of an item such as books, art work, house, shares etc. Please be aware
that if your gift cannot be used to directly support the work of the observatory the items may be sold so that the proceeds are available to support the charity.
It is recommended that you seek professional advice from a solicitor so that your wishesare correctly worded. If you have already written your will your solicitor can add a codicil so that your wishes to support the observatory and its work can be carried out.
Your solicitor will need the following information –
